Marlborough College – Boarding House Private Quarters

A full Redecoration of the Private-Side quarters of Ivy Boarding House, Marlborough College

The Opportunity

Manton Property was asked to cary out a complete redecoration of the property including the installation of a new shower room in a guest room bathroom for the new House Mistress and her family who were moving in in time for the new school year.

The Challenge

With a three week timeline before the pupils returned for the beginning of term and a large property to refurbish we had to plan the various different trades hour-perfect to ensure that the property was handed over in good time. We were also asked to carry out some delicate reparations to a listed chimney breast. Parking constraints for the vans and waste collections also required careful logistics to avoid the over-zealous traffic officers on marlborough High Street!

The Solution

The Manton team was given excellent support from the College Property team and this allowed us to mobilise quickly. Parking and security passes were made readily available and with our experienced team of decorators and plumbers we were able to complete the project well before the beginning of term.
