Village House

Nestled in the heart of a Wiltshire village sits this charming family home. Our client’s brief was to extend and renovate the property, creating additional space for modern family living.

Working with a local draughtsman we designed a contemporary cedar wood single storey extension. Built on a series of irregular angles to accommodate a large living space, compact and functional utility room and a downstairs cloakroom, the once pokey ground floor of this historic police station was transformed.

With limited access we removed 200 tonnes of soil by wheelbarrow and installed two 1 tonne bespoke skylights by hand.

Living overseas we entrusted our house to Manton and are delighted with the end result. The team weren't phased by the challenging logistics our project posed and got on with it brilliantly.
