Grade II listed Manor House

Manton was tasked with undertaking the complete renovation of this impressive Grade II listed Gothic Manor in the Gloucestershire countryside. Multiple alterations and extensions over hundreds of years needed to be sympathetically remodelled to provide our clients with a beautiful home perfect for entertaining.

Situated at the source of the River Thames on a Site of Special Scientific Interest, this house was fraught with complications. Together with a hand-picked team of heritage consultants, planners, ecologists and architects we retained the formality of the listed structure whilst providing the family with the right balance of family space for 21st century living.

In addition to the main house, the client asked Manton to undertake a series of additional projects including the creation of a beautiful orangery, developing the Coach House into ancillary accommodation and fitness suite, and converting the Stable Block into oak framed garaging. We also provided grounds management and remodelled the outdoor pool and tennis court.

At some stage you need to understand that it all comes down to trust. We unreservedly trusted Manton to navigate through the unknown waters of a large and very complex project.
